My Doggos

So I’ve had a bunch of dogs in my life, having four at one time and here is a list of them.

First, my parents got Smokey, who was a Yorkshire terrier. Then they got Max, who was also a Yorkie. This was before I was born.

When I was about three or four, we got two Great Danes, they were brother and sister, named Sampson and Princess, respectively. However, we had to give Sampson away after he continuously tried to fight Smokey and accidentally bit my mom.

Then over the next few years, we had a series of fish.

Then Max died and about roughly two years later Smokey followed. We had just Princess for a few years but then last year she passed away.

Shortly after she died we got Wadsworth, at first i was a little hesitant about getting another dog so soon but i love him and I’m glad hes with us.

Ice Cream Kitty the Cat

Okay so we have this neighborhood cat who i am constantly defending because everyone else hates him. And basically, he’s just a misunderstood ball of fluff. His name is Ice Cream Kitty.

anyways, i was home alone one day and i heard barking. For a few minutes i ignore it because Wadsworth sometimes barks at cars when they drive by, asĀ  most dogs do, but then he continued barking.

So i head outside and what do I see?

Wadsworth running back and forth around the fence while Ice Cream Kitty is sitting on it hissing. I can tell Wadsworth is in the fight part of flight or fight mode. He is not happy.

Meanwhile, I watch from a distance and debate my options. I could:
a. Call my parents
b. try and lure Wadsworth away
c. try and scare Ice Cream Kitty away

I ended up doing all three, starting with b, then a, then b again, and then finally c. What worked was me leaving a trail of treats for Wadsworth back to the house and when he came inside i shut the door. We stayed inside after that.

Death of the Dog Jacket

In case you didn’t notice its cold outside this time of year. Very cold. So cold that Wadsworth won’t go outside.

Which is a problem.

So my mom suggested we try and do what worked when we had just adopted him, get him to wear one of those dog jackets. He used to love them.

Yeah well this time we put one on him he went crazy and ripped it to shreds.

So no more dog jackets for Wadsworth, i guess.

Wadsworth and the Disappearing Toys

My one year old puppy, Wadsworth, loves to play, however, he always manages to eat all of his toys. We always have to buy him more, so he has something to do when we can’t play with him.

But since we’ve been so busy the past few weeks, we’ve been leaving his toys outside for him.

A few days ago, i went outside to play fetch with him, but i couldn’t find any toys! So, naturally, i start to look for them. I check behind our swing set, and under the trailer but I still can’t find them.

Except, on my way back to my house, i tripped over a hole on the ground and in front of me was Wadsworth’s indestructible elephant that we had bought a few weeks ago. He wasn’t destroying the toys at all.

He was burying them.

Yeah, so now we have holes all over the backyard.
